CASE STUDIES
THELMA GOLDING HEALTH CENTRE, HOUNSLOW
Part of the LIFT project, Thelma Golding Health Centre is one of a series of planned NHS buildings designed to integrate a number of current local dispersed services into a one-stop Care Centre within the Fulham, Hammersmith and Hounslow areas. This will be one of the largest Primary Care Centres in the UK, replacing cramped and sub-standard provision in the existing centre and moving them all into a high tech purpose built facility. Due for completion late 2006.
XPR systems were the cost effective solution for the contractors. Tim Egan, of BG Contracts said: “The need was to speed up installation, eliminate wet trades, and gain greater floor space whilst retaining all the robust requirements essential for such a building. Equally important was the Fire and Acoustic regulations which were easily met or surpassed by the XPR design team.”
